Automation and control

Automation and control systems can generally be defined as systems that minimize the necessary human intervention. They have a positive effect, for example, on production productivity, savings in heating and cooling costs, reducing the number of personnel required to carry out the required activities.

In many areas, the degree of automation and process control has reached a point where human intervention is no longer necessary. These systems have become an everyday part of our lives, and their importance continues to grow. We are constantly innovating our product range to meet the latest trends. A major milestone in our production was the introduction of IP technology in 2007. Ever since the second generation of LAN-RING industrial switches, a block called Event Management has been part of their software and, above all, physical (digital inputs, relay outputs) and virtual (TCP events, ONVIF commands) inputs and outputs. But it was still a control without feedback. Of course, the development continued further, and nowadays, we already have IPLOG-GAMA industrial PLCs in our product range, developed by the requirements of the IEC 61131 series of standards. The third part defines programming languages that have become the worldwide standard for programming modern automation systems. The independence of the IEC 61131-3 protocol from a particular organization or private company has helped make these programs easily transferable between control systems from different manufacturers. To make programming our IPLOG-GAMA PLCs and IO modules as easy as possible, we have prepared the METEL IEC 61131-3 IDE, a universal development environment.

The IDE is a complete development environment for creating, managing and debugging programs for IPLOG PLCs.

Available Event management in LAN-RING switches

A unique set of tools in the EXTENSION menu of LAN-RING switches and IPLOG monitoring units allows you to set up various automatic actions independent of external software.

Below is an overview of the supported inputs and outputs that can be used to set up automatic events.
