Smart electric bike chargers

Two companies in the Czech Republic have taken advantage of the growing popularity of electric bikes in their projects.

One of the solutions is based on a smartphone app that enables payments for e-bike chargers located in attractive places for cyclists.

On the column there is a QR code, which, when scanned in the mobile app, uniquely identifies a specific place and column. By making a payment, the client activates the charging of his bike for the ordered time. During this time, he can use the café or visit the museum. An IPLOG with an LTE interface is placed in the column, which receives information about the purchased charging time from a central server and activates the charger output for the specified time.

The second company has chosen a model consisting of the possibility of cash payments and charging multiple bikes in one place. In this case, IPLOG is also responsible for controlling the charger outputs.
