Advantages of OH switchboards

Our OH series outdoor switchboards are specifically designed for the installation of network components and technology outside air-conditioned indoor spaces. They combine a robust design, certified safety and well-thought-out features for easy installation and servicing.

Steel construction with IP66 protection

  • The switchboards are made of steel and meet the IP66 protection rating – they are therefore resistant to dust and water jets.
  • Their high mechanical robustness allows them to be used even in demanding outdoor environments.

Suitable for installing switches in outdoor environments

  • The design and internal layout of the switchboard are optimised specifically for the installation of METEL industrial switches, PLCs and IO modules.
  • Equipment from other manufacturers can also be installed in the switchboard.

Tested in accordance with standard EN 61439-1

  • The switchboards’ specifications comply with the European standard EN 61439-1.
  • The scope of supply includes a Unit Test Report, a Type Plate, a Wiring Diagram and other documentation, which significantly simplifies the work of inspection engineers and facilitates the handover of projects to end users.

Easy installation

  • The compact dimensions of the switchboards allow for easy installation on walls or poles thanks to the original mounting accessories.

Back-up power supply

  • We offer models with space for the installation of backup batteries and a charger for them.
  • Fast charging is also possible via the public lighting network.

Physical security

  • A tamper sensor connected to the LAN-RING switch’s alarm input automatically detects if the door is opened.
  • A vibration detector connected to the LAN-RING switch’s alarm input automatically detects any tampering with the switchboard.
  •
  • 230 VAC socket
    - Circuit breaker
    - Surge protection
    - Tamper (detection of unauthorised opening)

High safety standard

  • Level I and II surge protection protects the 230 V supply from overvoltage.
  • Circuit breakers protect circuits against overloads and short circuits.
  • Residual current devices (RCDs) protect against dangerous contact with live parts.
