Czech Electricity System (CEZ)
CEZ, the Czech leader in electricity generation, uses METEL technology in its substations. Video surveillance provided by PELCO and LAN-RING systems is complemented by the advanced features of the IPLOG PLC system, which integrates VMS with the network infrastructure, security system and other system components.
Czech Power System (CEPS)
The Czech 400 kV and 220 kV transmission system is operated by the state-owned company CEPS. This strategic infrastructure is equipped with our industrial LAN-RING switches, 200M media converters and OVP-100M Ethernet surge protectors.

Slovak Power Transmission System, a.s.
LAN-RING technology and surge protection combining security technologies (I&HaS, ACS, IP CCTV, IP intercoms) are deployed in power plants. Range of about 250 switches from 4 to 16 ports.

Stredoslovenská distribučná, a.s.
LAN-RING and surge protection technologies combining safety technologies (I&HaS, ACS, IP CCTV, IP intercoms) are deployed at power plants. A range of about 40 switches with 4 to 16 Ethernet ports. Further systems are planned and ready for implementation.
Electricity network in Germany
In northwest Germany, circuit protection is installed using as few copper cables as possible in the field to avoid interference from high voltage lines and transformers. The system includes TDW/RDW FO converters connected to the Absolute Plus circuit system.
Gas distribution in Italy
Approximately 90 Italgas sites with cameras and NVRs are connected via the LTE network.
LNG terminal in Świnoujście
Poland has built an LNG terminal in the Baltic Sea to diversify energy sources in the EU. Our IPLOG and PLC switches are part of a comprehensive security system.

Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant
Since the 1980s, the plant has been secured by an analogue camera system from the Czech company STEZ, whose tradition METEL follows. Over the last 10 years, METEL has supplied hundreds of industrial switches and switchboards to this facility.
Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant
A power plant consisting of four 440 MW VVER reactors, designed in the 1970s. The reactors are based on Russian technology. Since the 1990s, the plant has been continuously modernised... METEL has supplied approximately 100 customized optical converters to the plant.
Rivne Nuclear Power Plant
Rivne Nuclear Power Plant is a power plant in Varash, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. The technology monitoring system is a LAN-RING interconnected transmission system.
Coal-fired power plants
Approximately 50% of the electricity in the Czech Republic is generated in coal-fired power plants. Most of them are owned by the Czech state-owned company CEZ. Since the 1990s, we have supplied hundreds of twisted pair converters, FO converters and industrial switches.
Mosenergo
Mosenergo is a subsidiary of Gazprom and is Russia's largest fossil fuel power company and the largest thermal power company in the world. In addition to electricity, Mosenergo also generates and sells heat. In 2014-2015, METEL supplied more than 50 industrial switches to Mosenergo's facilities.
Hydroelectric power plants
After 9/11, CEZ Group invested heavily in dam security. It was particularly important to ensure good protection of the cascade of dams on the Vltava River. These dams are located on the river above Prague, so they had to be well protected against attacks. We were involved in all these projects.
In 2022, the modernization of the LAN-RING system started!
Photovoltaic power plants
After the big boom of photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, METEL became involved as a supplier of twisted pair converters, FO converters, industrial LAN-RING switches and IO modules.
