During the implementation of security system projects, the digital input and output function in LAN-RING switches is useful.
The digital inputs and relay outputs allow the transmission of two-state information in the following modes:
CLOSE - when the input is triggered, the set event is executed. A typical use is a START button, which causes a pulse to open the gate at the relay output.
OPEN - if the input is opened, the set event is executed. A typical use is to set the OPEN mode on a door contact. When the door is opened, the HTTP device will send a command to turn to PRESET, PATTERN, etc.
CHANGE - status information is sent in case of any change on the input.
DIRECT - The status of the input is periodically copied to the set output. This mode is typically used to transfer the input state directly to the relay output(s). Digital input states can be transmitted to the local output(s) or, using the ETH option, to the output(s) of a remote device.
