HTTP and ONVIF commands for camera control

The switches and IPLOG units support control of 8, 16, or 32 cameras or other IP devices using HTTP and ONVIF Profile S. They use HTTP GET and PUT methods for control and can send a command up to 128 B in length. The advantage of controlling directly from a switch or IPLOG unit is the high response time of a few ms compared to hundreds of ms when controlling cameras from servers.

Typical application examples:

  • The camera automatically rotates to the door in case of door contact disconnection, PIR sensor motion detection, etc.
  • If a camera or router is stolen, the second camera automatically presets or triggers a pattern to capture the perpetrator.

Event example: in case of ALARM on IN 2, camera 6 will be turned to preset 21
