Processing Onvif Events

Another way to use the Onvif protocol effectively is through the analytical functions of IP cameras. These generate a number of interesting Onvif events. See the list of events on the slide generated by the Pelco fixed IP camera.

One scenario used in practice was the following:

To enhance system security, a customer used:

• the camera's ability to detect obfuscation
• detect motion in a relatively large area, distinguish its direction and the distance of the object.

Through IPLOGs:

• this information is transmitted directly to the alarm systems.
• lighting and other actions are controlled.
