Connecting the V-Alert system with Pelco cameras

The protection of outdoor objects is a common application where you may encounter the IPLOG system. Examples of successful applications are the buildings of oil mines in South Moravia. Based on a request from our long-time customer, we have added function blocks to the tools available in the METEL IEC61131-3 IDE to directly support the V-Alert perimeter system, which communicates with the PLC via an RS232 serial line. V-Alert sends alarm and cut events from individual zones, which IPLOG receives and based on the created program sets/controls outputs, rotates cameras, sends emails, logs to database etc... Analog Pelco cameras are controlled via Pelco P/D protocols over RS485 bus and IP cameras via Onvif protocol directly over LAN.
