Alarm inputs

This solution is certified to the EN 50131-1 standard.

Securing IT infrastructure to meet the certification requirements of the EN 50131 standard is often a complex task – the LAN-RING system addresses this directly.

By utilising the alarm inputs of LAN-RING switches, IPLOG devices and IO modules with resistive outputs, the system precisely mirrors each input value to the corresponding output (e.g. a 1000 Ω input provides a 1000 Ω output).

The result is afully monitored, tamper-resistant alarm loop with guaranteed signal integrity – designed to meet even the most stringent regulatory requirements.

To maintain system stability, it is recommended that a single IPLOG controls no more than 40 outputs.

The alarm inputs are also suitable for remote monitoring of the backup subsystem, providing a continuous overview of key operational statuses, including immediate detection of a primary power failure, a fault or critical battery discharge.
Operational continuity and the integrity of data flows are ensured at the hardware level by the integrated BPM module.
In the event of a power failure at the primary output, the module immediately switches to the 24 V DC backup power supply, thereby guaranteeing uninterrupted switch operation and uninterrupted transmission via the RS485 bus.
This monitoring is complemented by alarm inputs for detecting physical tampering with the switchboard, ensuring comprehensive convergence of cyber and physical security.
